Algolia has acquired Search.io, the maker of Neuralsearch, to combine keyword search and vector-based semantic search into a single API. The deal integrates Search.io's vector search technology into Algolia's API-first Search & Discovery platform to improve semantic and image search capabilities and lower vector search costs for retailers and other customers.
