Algoma Central Corporation to Acquire Mainstay Maritime’s Canadian Great Lakes Fleet

Algoma Central Corporation (TSX: ALC) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Mainstay Maritime Inc.’s three Canadian operating companies and a fleet of six Canadian-flagged vessels. The deal includes Lower Lakes Towing Ltd. and the vessels Kaministiqua, Manitoulin, Robert S. Pierson, Saginaw, Michipicoten, and Valo, and is expected to close in Q1 2026 (subject to customary closing conditions).
