American Industrial Partners Completes Take-Private Acquisition of Boart Longyear

American Industrial Partners (AIP) completed a court-approved take-private acquisition of Boart Longyear Group Ltd., acquiring all outstanding shares and taking the company private. AIP said it will partner with Boart Longyear management to deploy operational capabilities (product engineering, aftermarket, procurement, LEAN, IT, finance) and invest to accelerate growth in the company's drilling services, equipment manufacturing, and orebody-knowledge technology businesses.

American Industrial Partners (AIP) has become the majority and controlling shareholder of Norway-based AquaShip AS and Intership AS and will merge the two companies into a single global aquaculture service vessel operator. Talweg Capital co-invested in the combined company; Alchemy sold its stake in Intership. The combined business will operate a fleet of 39 vessels with nearly 700 employees and serve salmon farmers across Norway, Scotland, Ireland, Chile, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
