Angelini Pharma Acquires Catalyst Pharmaceuticals

Angelini Pharma S.p.A. completed its acquisition of Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for an aggregate equity value of approximately $4.1 billion (about €3.5 billion), giving Angelini ownership of Catalyst’s product portfolio and commercial infrastructure. The transaction included participation from funds managed by Blackstone and a €1 billion capital increase approved by CDP Equity, and is part of Angelini Pharma’s expansion into the U.S. brain health and rare disease market.
