AvalonBay Communities, Inc. and Equity Residential completed a merger of equals in an all-stock transaction to form Vivmark Residential. The combined company, expected to trade on the NYSE under ticker VMRK starting August 18, 2026, will own more than 184,000 rental apartments with additional homes under construction.
