Routeware Global, a provider of integrated software solutions for the solid waste and fleet industries, has acquired ReCollect Systems, a Vancouver-based provider of digital communication and citizen engagement tools for recycling. The acquisition expands Routeware's product suite to include ReCollect's mobile apps and online tools, enabling enhanced customer communication, education, and contamination-reduction capabilities for municipalities and private haulers.

RapidWorks, a Boston-based provider of software for heavy equipment service providers, has acquired CRO Software, a Calgary-based cloud dispatch and operations management software company serving the waste management and recycling industries. The deal expands RapidWorks' vertical coverage into waste and recycling while providing CRO with capital, product and go-to-market resources; Wavecrest Growth Partners and MassMutual Ventures increased their investment in RapidWorks to support the expansion.
