Routeware Acquires Wastech (RUBICONSmartCity & RUBICONPro)

Portland-based Routeware, backed by K1 Investment Management, has acquired Wastech, the holding company for the RUBICONSmartCity and RUBICONPro fleet and route optimization platforms. The deal adds municipal and private-hauler-focused route optimization and fleet-management capabilities to Routeware's Elements product suite, strengthening its position in waste-collection software and services.
