Swiss AI and mobility systems company OSR Enterprises AG has acquired Israel-based MAISENSE Ltd, a developer of the SONIC plasmonic system-on-chip, to integrate plasmonic compute into OSR’s EVOLVER AI compute platform. The deal is intended to accelerate OSR’s roadmap for high-performance, energy-efficient AI compute across automotive, edge, industrial, and sovereign use cases.

ABB has acquired Swiss start-up Sevensense, an ETH Zurich spin-off that provides AI-enabled 3D vision navigation (Visual SLAM) for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The acquisition (financial terms undisclosed) will integrate Sevensense's technology into ABB's AMR portfolio to expand capabilities in automotive, logistics and other intralogistics markets; Sevensense will remain based in Zurich with about 35 employees.

Polymatech Electronics, via its Singapore subsidiary Artificial Electronics Intelligent Materials Pte Ltd., has acquired Nisene Technology Group Inc., a 50-year-old California-based semiconductor company known for IC design and decapsulation equipment. The deal strengthens Polymatech's semiconductor capabilities by combining Nisene's silicon and silicon carbide expertise with Polymatech's sapphire-wafer technologies to develop multi-wafer semiconductor products and advanced chip fabrication/testing devices.
