Octopus Energy Generation Acquires MN Projekt GmbH

Octopus Energy Generation, via the Octopus Energy Development Partnership (OEDP), has acquired Hamburg-based renewable developer MN Projekt GmbH, adding a c.2 GW pipeline of solar and battery storage projects in Germany. The deal expands Octopus's project pipeline and storage capabilities as it accelerates its investment plans in Germany and supports the country’s target of significantly higher renewable electricity by 2030.

One Equity Partners (OEP) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the core operating assets of Muehlhan AG, a Hamburg-based industrial services provider specializing in wind services, surface protection, steel services, passive fire protection, scaffolding and insulation. Financial terms were not disclosed; the transaction is expected to close by Q1 2023 subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals. OEP plans to scale the renewables, marine and infrastructure businesses through add-on acquisitions and geographic expansion (notably the U.S., Germany and the Nordics).

EPC Power, a Poway, California-based designer and manufacturer of American-made smart inverters, employs ~180 people and operates additional engineering/sales offices in Helsinki to serve global customers.
