Qorvo Acquires Custom MMIC

Qorvo has completed the acquisition of Custom MMIC, a Chelmsford, Massachusetts-based supplier of GaAs and GaN monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs). The deal brings Custom MMIC’s mmWave capabilities and product portfolio into Qorvo’s Infrastructure and Defense Products business to expand offerings for defense, aerospace and commercial 5G markets.

Quantic Electronics Acquires X-Microwave

Quantic Electronics, a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has acquired X-Microwave, a developer of modular RF and microwave building blocks used for rapid prototyping and production of RF/MW systems. The acquisition augments Quantic’s RF/Microwave technology portfolio and is intended to accelerate product development and expand capabilities across aerospace, defense, wireless infrastructure and advanced research end markets.

MACOM Acquires Linearizer Communications Group

MACOM Technology Solutions Holdings, Inc. acquired Linearizer Communications Group, a New Jersey-based developer of non-linear microwave predistortion and microwave photonic subsystems, for approximately $49 million in cash. The acquisition strengthens MACOM's component and subsystem design capabilities for industrial, telecommunications and defense end markets and is expected to be immediately accretive to adjusted EPS.

CML Microsystems Acquires MicroWave Technology, Inc.

CML Microsystems Plc has completed the acquisition of MicroWave Technology, Inc. (MwT), a Silicon Valley–based compound semiconductor manufacturer founded in 1982 that specializes in GaAs and GaN MMICs, discrete devices and hybrid amplifier products. The deal expands CML Micro's product portfolio, strengthens its mmWave and high-frequency R&D capabilities, and aims to accelerate global market reach for MwT's products via CML's sales and distribution network.

Mercury Systems Acquires Atlanta Micro

Mercury Systems acquired Atlanta Micro, a Norcross, Georgia–based designer and manufacturer of high-performance RF modules and MMICs, to expand its RF and microwave component portfolio and deepen penetration in electronic warfare, radar and weapons markets. The all-cash purchase (subject to working capital and net debt adjustments) is expected to add approximately $16 million in trailing revenue and be immediately accretive to adjusted EPS.

Micross Acquires Integra Technologies

Micross Components, a portfolio company of Behrman Capital, has acquired Integra Technologies, a U.S.-based OSAT (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) provider headquartered in Wichita, Kansas. The add-on expands Micross' U.S. assembly, packaging and test capabilities and broadens its presence in high-reliability end markets such as medical, aerospace/defense and automotive.
