Nordic Capital Acquires Sortera from Summa Equity

Nordic Capital has agreed to acquire Swedish environmental services provider Sortera from Summa Equity, with Lightrock selling its stake and Sortera founder Conny Ryk's Ryk Group reinvesting and remaining an investor. Sortera, headquartered in Stockholm with just over 420 employees and pro forma 2020 revenues of SEK 1.4 billion, has expanded across the Nordics through organic growth and ten add-on acquisitions under Summa Equity's ownership.

Summa Equity Leads 14M SEK Growth Investment in Metry

Swedish energy-tech company Metry raised 14 million SEK through a rights issue and investment led by Summa Equity, with participation from Chalmers Ventures, angel investors and Metry chairman Andreas Rydholm. The growth capital will support product development and expansion of Metry’s energy data platform for the real estate sector in Sweden and abroad.

Summa Equity (via NG Group) Acquires Fortum Recycling & Waste from Fortum

Summa Equity, through its portfolio company NG Group, has completed the acquisition of Fortum Recycling & Waste from Fortum Corporation for approximately EUR 800 million on a debt- and cash-free basis. The deal combines Fortum's recycling and waste business (≈900 employees) with NG Group to create a Nordic circular-economy leader with combined revenues of about EUR 1.2 billion, ~3,500 employees and expanded hazardous-waste and recycling capabilities.

Nordic Capital will partner with Foxway management and alongside Norvestor to support continued growth, international expansion and Foxway’s focus on circular IT services; Foxway is a Sweden‑headquartered provider of device refurbishment, asset recovery and lifecycle services with over 1,000 employees and SEK ~7.6bn in revenue (2022).
