Spectrum Science has acquired Continuum Clinical from Blue Chip Worldwide to strengthen its clinical trial recruitment (CTR) capabilities. Continuum will merge into Spectrum’s CTR strategic pillar—bringing its MERIS technology, a large client roster, and leadership under Neil Weisman—creating a combined team of more than 130 clinical solutions specialists; financial terms were not disclosed.

Virtusa Acquires BRIGHT

Virtusa Corporation has acquired BRIGHT (Bright Consulting), a leading ServiceNow and Splunk partner in EMEA, to strengthen its ServiceNow and Splunk capabilities and expand its presence in Europe. Financial terms were not disclosed; BRIGHT brings roughly 100 consultants (about 70 ServiceNow and 30 Splunk specialists) and expertise in digitalization, SecOps, observability, and AI/ML analytics.

Siemens AG Acquires Brightly Software from Clearlake Capital

Siemens AG, via its Smart Infrastructure division, agreed to acquire Brightly Software, a U.S.-based cloud-native enterprise asset management SaaS provider, from Clearlake Capital for $1.575 billion in upfront cash plus up to $300 million in earn-outs. The acquisition strengthens Siemens' digital building and infrastructure software capabilities and expands its SaaS footprint, while Brightly will benefit from Siemens' global scale.

ConnectWise Acquires Continuum and ITBoost

The moves (alongside a partnership with Webinfinity) expand ConnectWise’s product suite for technology solution providers and strengthen managed services, security and documentation capabilities for MSP/TSP customers.

Thoma Bravo Acquires ConnectWise

Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity firm, has agreed to acquire ConnectWise, the Tampa-based provider of a SaaS business management platform for managed service providers (MSPs). The deal (expected to close Feb. 28, 2019) will see founder Arnie Bellini transition to an advisory role while current president and COO Jason Magee becomes CEO; terms were not disclosed and financing was provided by Owl Rock Capital.
