SBS, a Denver-based provider of intelligent design and spatial data integration software for utilities and infrastructure firms, will receive investment to accelerate product development and geographic expansion.

SSP Innovations Acquires 3-GIS

SSP Innovations, a portfolio company of Warren Equity Partners, has acquired 3-GIS, a provider of geospatial back-office web and mobile products for the telecommunications industry. The acquisition (closed Dec. 23, 2020) adds 3-GIS's SaaS product suite to SSP's utility GIS and telecom offering as an add-on to expand capabilities and market reach.

NV5 Global Acquires GIS Solutions, Inc.

NV5 Global, Inc. (NV5) has agreed to acquire GIS Solutions, Inc., a Springfield, Illinois–based provider of enterprise GIS application development, cloud database design, data science, and project management services for state departments of transportation and utilities. The deal, paid with a combination of cash and stock, is expected to be immediately accretive to NV5 and expands NV5’s geospatial and cloud-managed data capabilities.

Continental Mapping Acquires Geographic Information Services (GISinc)

Continental Mapping Consultants, a Bluestone Investment Partners portfolio company, has acquired Geographic Information Services, Inc. (GISinc). The deal creates one of North America's largest pure-play geospatial services firms, expanding Continental Mapping's capabilities in enterprise GIS, cloud migrations, analytics and geospatial data services; GISinc brings over 350 employees across 30 states. Financing for the transaction was provided by EagleBank and Route 2 Capital Partners.

Schneider Geospatial Acquires Systems Development Group

Schneider Geospatial, a portfolio company of Align Capital Partners, has acquired Systems Development Group (SDG), a provider of geo-centric property record and analysis solutions for local governments. SDG’s Image Mate Online and supporting services will be integrated into Schneider’s parcel management SaaS portfolio, expanding its GovTech capabilities and adding over 1,000 local-government clients across 34 states; the deal is the fourth add-on since Align’s 2022 investment in Schneider.

Schneider Geospatial Acquires PeopleGIS

Schneider Geospatial, an Align Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired PeopleGIS, a Massachusetts-based provider of the SimpliCITY asset management SaaS used by local municipal departments. The add-on expands Schneider Geospatial’s GovTech product portfolio into asset management and marks the company’s second acquisition since ACP acquired Schneider in 2022, positioning the business for accelerated growth in the local government infrastructure market.
