Bird Construction Acquires NorCan Electric Inc.

Bird Construction Inc. (TSX: BDT) has acquired the assets of NorCan Electric Inc. for $11 million, in a tuck-in to its Stuart Olson industrial services subsidiary. The deal expands Bird's electrical and instrumentation capabilities, adds up to 450 electricians serving the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (Alberta), and supports recurring MSA revenue streams; the purchase was financed ~85% with debt and the balance with Bird treasury shares.

Versar Acquires Black & Veatch Environmental Services Business Unit (BVESB)

SunGrid (Hull Street Energy affiliate) Acquires Black Electric Inc.

Bird Construction Acquires Jacob Bros Construction for $135 Million

(TSX: BDT) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Surrey, British Columbia–based Jacob Bros Construction for an estimated aggregate consideration of $135 million, comprising cash, shares and assumed equipment debt. The acquisition establishes Bird in BC's civil infrastructure market, adds self-perform capability and scale (Jacob Bros: ~350+ employees, ~$300M revenue) and is expected to be approximately 10% accretive to Bird's full-year adjusted EPS.

Pelican Energy Partners Acquires Electrical Builders Industries

Pelican Energy Partners, a Houston-based private equity firm, has acquired Electrical Builders Industries (EBI), a St. Cloud, Minnesota-based industrial electrical and welding services provider that specializes in bus duct installation, replacement and repair for power generation facilities.
