Gentell Acquires ManukaMed

Gentell has acquired ManukaMed, a New Zealand-based manufacturer of Manuka honey–based wound dressings, and will rebrand the business as Gentell ManukaMed. The acquisition adds the only honey-based wound care product reimbursable by Medicare to Gentell’s portfolio, expands its manufacturing footprint (including ManukaMed’s U.S. HQ in Franklin, Tennessee and a Kansas City distribution center), and supports capability and geographic expansion into Australia and Southeast Asia.

H.B. Fuller Acquires GEM S.r.l. and Medifill Ltd.

Fuller Company signed agreements to acquire Italian medical adhesive manufacturer GEM S.r.l. and Irish tissue-adhesive producer Medifill Ltd., expanding its Medical Adhesive Technologies (MAT) business and establishing a European hub for the platform. The combined purchase price is €180 million (pre-synergy 15.5x EBITDA) with expected 2024 combined net revenue of €23 million and adjusted EBITDA of €11.5 million; the GEM transaction is expected to close in February 2025, subject to customary conditions.

Teleflex Incorporated acquired Z-Medica, LLC — a Wallingford, Connecticut-based manufacturer of QuikClot hemostatic products — from private equity owners Linden Capital Partners and DW Healthcare Partners. The deal, first announced in October 2020 and reported closed in December 2020, expands Teleflex’s trauma and emergency medicine product portfolio and represents an exit for Linden and DWHP.

BioStem Technologies Acquires BioTissue's Surgical and Wound Care Business

BioStem Technologies (OTC: BSEM) has acquired the surgical and wound care business of BioTissue Holdings, Inc. for approximately $15 million upfront, with up to $25 million of contingent milestone and royalty payments. The deal includes the Neox and Clarix product lines, a nationwide commercial sales organization and assigned GPO contracts, expanding BioStem's access into hospital inpatient and outpatient wound-care markets and adding assets that generated roughly $29 million in 2025.
