Howden Group Acquires Spencer Turbine

Howden Group has acquired The Spencer Turbine Company, a Windsor, Connecticut-based manufacturer of vacuum systems, gas pressure boosters and industrial blowers. The acquisition expands Howden’s product capabilities in industrial and wastewater treatment markets and provides Spencer Turbine access to Howden’s global distribution network to accelerate growth in North America, China, South America and Europe.

Cooper Machinery Services Acquires ACI Services, Inc.

Cooper Machinery Services, a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has acquired ACI Services, Inc., a longtime provider of engineered solutions and hardware for reciprocating compressors. The deal strengthens Cooper's compressor engineering, aftermarket parts and service capabilities and expands its ability to serve energy and industrial customers.

Chart Industries Acquires Howden for $4.4 Billion

Chart Industries has agreed to acquire Howden from affiliates of KPS Capital Partners, LP for $4.4 billion, creating a combined business with estimated pro forma revenue of approximately $3.4 billion. The deal expands Chart's engineered equipment and process-technology portfolio into air and gas handling, strengthens aftermarket service exposure, and targets substantial cost and commercial synergies; the transaction closed on March 17, 2023.

Atlas Copco Acquires CPC Pumps International Inc.

Atlas Copco has acquired CPC Pumps International Inc., a Burlington, Ontario-based designer, manufacturer and servicer of custom-engineered centrifugal pumps. CPC Pumps (110 employees; ~MSEK 385 in FY2020) will join Atlas Copco's Gas & Process division within the Compressor Technique business area to add complementary pump technology and strengthen its market position in North America.

Allied Power Group Acquires Combustion Parts Inc.

Allied Power Group (APG) has acquired Combustion Parts Inc. (CPI), a provider of combustion components for heavy-frame industrial gas turbines. CPI founder Lori Jenks has joined APG as the companies integrate CPI's combustion hardware capabilities into APG's global service offering to expand product breadth for power generation, refining, pipeline and industrial customers.

Howden Maintenance Partners Acquires Assets of Turbine Europe
