Credit Bureau Connection (CBC), a Capstreet-backed provider of credit report and compliance solutions, has acquired CreditDriver Solutions, a mobile-first soft credit prequalification and identity-authentication technology provider for the automotive industry. Founder and CEO Michael Byrd will join CBC as Senior Vice President of Sales; terms were not disclosed and advisors included Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Deloitte.

The CapStreet Group (CapStreet V, L.P.) completed a majority recapitalization of Credit Bureau Connection, Inc. (CBC) in partnership with founder Mike Green and other shareholders, with Stellus Capital Management providing unitranche financing and an equity co-investment. CBC (now rebranded as Informativ) provides cloud-based credit reporting, compliance and identity-verification software for auto dealers and consumer finance lenders across the United States; the transaction is intended to support growth acceleration and platform expansion.

The deal expands Safe-Guard’s service offerings beyond finance & insurance into dealership fixed operations, with DSD leadership remaining in place to continue managing the business.

DSS, Inc. Acquires SBG Technology Solutions, Inc.

(DSS, Inc.) has acquired Alexandria-based SBG Technology Solutions, Inc., which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary to expand DSS's services capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense and other federal agencies. The acquisition (closed September 8, 2021) will bolster DSS's Health IT, national security, cybersecurity and AI/ML capabilities to support government and commercial clients; financial terms were not disclosed.

Frontenac Recapitalizes Dealer Services Network

Chicago-based private equity firm Frontenac has completed a recapitalization partnership with Dealer Services Network (DSN), a Deerfield Beach, Florida-based provider of title, registration and compliance solutions for automotive dealers, fleet operators and government agencies. The partnership will fund DSN's U.S. expansion and support strategic organic growth and add-on acquisitions to scale its DealTracker TaaS platform.
