Standex International Corporation acquired Minntronix, a South Dakota-based designer and manufacturer of magnetic components, for approximately $30 million in cash. Standex said the acquisition expands its presence in fast-growing end markets such as 5G, smart grid, and industrial automation and is expected to be accretive in the first year.

Standex International Acquires McStarlite Co.

Standex International Corporation has acquired McStarlite Co., a Harbor City, California-based maker of complex sheet metal aerospace components, for approximately $56.5 million in cash. McStarlite will be reported in Standex's Engineering Technologies Group and the acquisition is intended to expand Standex's forming capabilities and provide cross-selling and technical-exchange opportunities with its Spincraft business.

Renesas Electronics Acquires Transphorm, Inc.

Renesas Electronics Corporation completed its acquisition of Transphorm, Inc. on June 20, 2024, integrating Transphorm's gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductor technology into Renesas' product portfolio. Renesas will immediately begin offering GaN-based power products and reference designs to expand its power solutions for markets including EVs, data centers, renewable energy and industrial applications.

Enjet Aero Acquires Enginetics Business from Standex International

Kansas City-based Enjet Aero has acquired Enginetics, a Dayton, Ohio precision components manufacturer, from Standex International Corporation. The acquisition adds Enginetics' metal forming, brazing, heat-treating and laser-drilling capabilities to Enjet's portfolio, expanding its engine-component manufacturing capabilities and customer reach in commercial and military aerospace.

American Superconductor (AMSC) Acquires NWL, Inc. (Megatran Industries)

AMSC (American Superconductor) has acquired Megatran Industries d/b/a NWL, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of transformers, inductors and power supplies, in a transaction with total consideration of approximately $62 million (cash plus stock and contingent payment). The deal expands AMSC's product offerings and military/industrial market footprint and is expected to be accretive to earnings as AMSC integrates NWL's capabilities and customer channels.

Arcline Investment Management Acquires Electric Power Systems and North American Substation Services

Arcline Investment Management acquired Electric Power Systems (EPS) and North American Substation Services (NASS) from Industrial Growth Partners to create a leading electric infrastructure services platform (now branded Voltyx). Industrial Growth Partners retained a minority stake in the combined business; the deal brings together protection and control engineering, high-voltage apparatus testing, and substation maintenance capabilities to serve utilities, renewable energy, data center and commercial customers.
