Synalloy Corporation Acquires DanChem from Edgewater Capital Partners

Synalloy Corporation (Nasdaq: SYNL) acquired DanChem, a specialty-chemicals contract manufacturer based in Danville, Virginia, for $32.95 million, closing October 22, 2021. DanChem operates three production plants on a 55-acre campus with over 120 employees, and is expected to generate approximately $30 million of 2021 revenue (c.18% adjusted EBITDA); the deal was funded through Synalloy's existing credit facility and DanChem was an Edgewater Capital Partners portfolio company.

DalFort Capital Partners (via Key Polymer) Acquires Unichem, Inc.

DalFort Capital Partners, through its affiliate Key Polymer Holdings, LLC (Key Polymer), has acquired Unichem, Inc., a Haw River, North Carolina-based manufacturer of specialty adhesives and custom-formulated chemicals. The acquisition is an add-on to Key Polymer intended to create operational synergies and strengthen the combined companies' position across multiple end markets including automotive, construction and consumer products.

Polytek Development Corp. Acquires Specialty Resin & Chemical

Polytek Development Corp., a portfolio company of Arsenal Capital Partners, acquired Specialty Resin & Chemical, a Dowagiac, Michigan–based supplier of mold making, casting, and coating resins. Daniel Wilson, the owner of Specialty Resin & Chemical, will remain in an active role; Genesis Capital served as financial advisor to Polytek.

SK Capital Acquires Majority Interest in Deltech's Monomers, Polymers and European Businesses

Funds advised by SK Capital Partners acquired a majority interest in the Monomers, Polymers and European businesses of Deltech Holdings LLC. Deltech CEO and founder Bob Elefante retains a significant ownership stake and will remain actively involved; the business employs about 135 people across Baton Rouge (headquarters), Troy, Ohio and Haverhill, United Kingdom.

Albi Protective Coatings (StanChem Polymers) Acquires Dux Paint

Albi Protective Coatings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of StanChem Polymers (a portfolio company of Artemis Capital Partners), has acquired Dux Paint and its sister companies Hawthorne Coating and Hood Products. The acquisition brings Dux's industrial protective coatings portfolio and technical expertise into the StanChem-Albi platform to expand product lines (including intumescent and fire-retardant coatings) and accelerate growth in refinish, wood and automotive end markets.
