The Advanced Manufacturing Company of America (Amca), a newly formed aerospace supplier platform backed by venture investors, has acquired Electro-Mech Components of South El Monte, California. Amca launched with $76.5 million in funding to acquire and develop legacy aerospace and defense suppliers and expand its manufacturing capabilities.

Amca Acquires Aerospace Control Products, Inc.

Amca, an El Segundo, California-based aerospace and defense company, has acquired Aerospace Control Products, Inc. (ACPI) of Davenport, Iowa to expand its hydraulics-focused components platform by adding aerospace-grade pressure and liquid-level switch capabilities. Amca plans significant investment to expand ACPI’s manufacturing capacity and improve supply availability; Shedd Capital advised on the transaction and Aaron Ellis, ACPI’s president and former owner, will remain involved.

Amca Acquires Electrocube

The deal adds flight‑critical power electronics (transformers, TRUs, capacitors, EMI filters) to Amca’s capabilities; Shedd Capital advised, and Amca plans to invest in engineering and product expansion to strengthen the aerospace supply chain.

The deal expands Amca's power-electronics and magnetics capabilities—building on a recent Electrocube acquisition—to better serve aerospace and defense platforms and reduce supply-chain risk.

Rulmeca Group Acquires Douglas Manufacturing Company

The acquisition integrates Douglas into Rulmeca's global materials-handling platform to expand Rulmeca's presence in the United States while giving Douglas access to greater investment, global supply chains, and a broader product portfolio.

Motion & Control Enterprises Acquires Nova Hydraulics

Motion & Control Enterprises (MCE), a Frontenac‑backed fluid power and automation distributor, has acquired Nova Hydraulics, an Indianapolis‑based hydraulics repair, remanufacture and parts supplier. The add‑on strengthens MCE's full‑lifecycle hydraulics capabilities and expands its ability to serve OEMs, resellers, repair houses and end‑users; Nova's owner Greg Christy sold the business to MCE.
