WTW (Willis Towers Watson) has acquired Michigan-based Global Commercial Credit (GCC) and ProfitGuard to expand its credit risk and trade credit insurance capabilities within its Willis broking business. The deal strengthens WTW's specialist credit and political risk offering and provides additional credit information and monitoring services to support growth in North America.

GrubMarket Acquires Butter to Add AI-Powered Ecommerce and Payments

GrubMarket has acquired San Francisco–based Butter, a four-year-old provider of AI-powered sales tools, cloud ERP and integrated payments for food distributors, for an undisclosed price. The acquisition will fold Butter’s AI-driven ecommerce and payment capabilities into GrubMarket’s WholesaleWare, GrubAssist AI and mobile commerce products to accelerate digital ordering and payment processing for restaurants, grocers and food wholesalers.

Tango Acquires WatchWire

Tango, a Dallas-based provider of cloud-based real estate and facilities management software, has acquired WatchWire, a New York City-based sustainability and energy management SaaS provider. The deal—backed by Tango investor Berkshire Partners—adds energy management, emissions tracking and carbon reporting capabilities to Tango's platform; financial terms were not disclosed.
