Washington Equity Partners Leads Majority Recapitalization of Tube Bending, Inc.

Washington Equity Partners has made a majority investment in Tube Bending, Inc., a California-based manufacturer and fabricator of tubing and tubing assemblies serving aerospace, defense, medical and industrial markets. Plexus Capital and SharpVue Capital provided supporting debt and equity financing; Tube Bending’s president, Bryan Christoffersen, retains a significant ownership stake and will continue to run day-to-day operations. The recapitalization positions Tube Bending to grow organically and via acquisitions as a market-leading tubing platform for aerospace and defense.

TransTech Energy (Bridge Industries) Acquires Bendel Tank and Heat Exchanger

TransTech Energy, a portfolio company of Bridge Industries, acquired Bendel Tank and Heat Exchanger, Corp., a 60-year-old Charlotte-based designer and fabricator of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors and storage vessels. The deal adds a 65,000 sq. ft. East Coast fabrication facility and on-site storage capacity to TransTech's existing Texas operations, expanding capacity, product offerings and responsiveness for oil & gas, petrochemical and other industrial customers.

VINCI Energies Acquires EPIC Systems from Compass Group Equity Partners

VINCI Energies has acquired EPIC Systems, a St. Louis-based provider of industrial and process automation solutions, from Compass Group Equity Partners. The transaction is a strategic exit for Compass Group and will integrate EPIC’s engineering and systems-integration capabilities into VINCI Energies’ global industrial services platform to support expanded end-market coverage and geographic growth.

Crescendo Capital Partners and Construction Capital Group Acquire Peoria Industrial Piping Company (PIPCO)

Crescendo Capital Partners, together with operators from Construction Capital Group, has acquired Peoria Industrial Piping Company (PIPCO) and created a new holding company, Essential Facility & Infrastructure Services (EFI Services), with PIPCO as the first operating company. Fidus Capital provided term debt and an equity co-investment; the Cicciarelli family (sellers) retain equity and will remain in leadership roles as the sponsors build a regionally dominant MEP and fire protection platform in the Midwest.

MPE Partners and 80/20 Acquire Les Industries Flexpipe (Flexpipe)

MPE Partners and portfolio company 80/20 have acquired Les Industries Flexpipe, Inc., a Farnham, Quebec-based manufacturer and distributor of steel modular framing and material handling systems. The acquisition will expand 80/20's product offering, create cross-selling opportunities, and accelerate growth of the combined business; terms were not disclosed.

Tube Bending Technology (Washington Equity Partners) Acquires Creative Pathways, Inc.

Tube Bending Technology, a portfolio company of Washington Equity Partners, has acquired Creative Pathways, Inc., a Torrance, California-based manufacturer of aerospace tube and duct assemblies. Creative Pathways will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, with existing leadership remaining in place; the acquisition expands Tube Bending's in-house capabilities (welding, orbital tube welding, precision machining, clean room) and strengthens its aerospace, defense, space and semiconductor supply-chain footprint.
