Fibrix Filtration (backed by Branford Castle) Acquires Americo Manufacturing; Forms Clean Solutions Group

Fibrix Filtration, a portfolio company of Branford Castle Partners, has acquired Americo Manufacturing Co. from Blue Sage Capital and the founding Rones family and combined the two businesses under a new holding company, Clean Solutions Group. Brookside Capital Partners (subordinated debt and equity) and Byline Bank provided financing to support the transaction; Americo is a Georgia-based manufacturer of sustainable nonwoven floor pads, hand pads and matting.

Clean Solutions Group (Branford Castle Partners) Acquires HDK Industries

Clean Solutions Group (CSG), a platform backed by private equity firm Branford Castle Partners, acquired HDK Industries and will consolidate the HDK brand into its Fibrix Filtration business. The add-on expands CSG’s nonwoven filtration and specialty medical materials capabilities across air, liquid and medical filtration end markets; terms were not disclosed.

Branford Castle Acquires ABC Industries, Inc.

Tekni-Plex Acquires Assets and Technologies of Fibro Corporation

Hexatronic Group AB Acquires Fibron BX Limited from Rubicon Partners

Hexatronic Group AB has acquired Fibron BX Limited, a UK-based manufacturer of harsh-environment electro-optical and subsea umbilical cables, from private equity owner Rubicon Partners. Fibron, headquartered in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire with about 114 employees and a 7,200 sqm production facility, will continue to be led by its existing management team.

Vance Street Capital Acquires Fumex Air Filtration Systems

Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital has partnered with Fumex Air Filtration Systems, a Kennesaw, Georgia-based designer and manufacturer of industrial fume extraction and air filtration solutions. Fumex CEO Kevin East is reinvesting and will remain in place; Vance Street plans to support product development, organic growth and pursue strategic M&A opportunities to expand the business.
