Cisco Acquires Sedona Systems

Cisco announced the acquisition of Sedona Systems to integrate Sedona’s NetFusion platform into Cisco’s Crosswork portfolio, enhancing routed optical networking and multi-domain automation. The deal brings Sedona’s multi-vendor, multi-layer network abstraction and analytics to Cisco to simplify operations for communications service providers and accelerate automation across IP and optical domains.

Cisco Acquires Fluidmesh Networks

Cisco announced its intent to acquire Fluidmesh Networks to strengthen Cisco's industrial wireless and Industrial IoT offerings, adding Fluidmesh's wireless backhaul technology for on-the-move assets (trains, subways, ports). The deal was expected to close in Cisco's fiscal Q4 2020 and the Fluidmesh team will join Cisco's IoT business to accelerate deployments in rail, mining, ports and other industrial markets.
