Thoma Bravo Acquires J.D. Power

Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity firm, has agreed to acquire J.D. Power, the global data analytics and consumer intelligence company. The deal, announced July 30, 2019, will support J.D. Power's continued expansion of analytics, AI and product offerings; prior investor XIO Group is exiting its investment while management and employee owners will roll some equity into the new ownership.

Thoma Bravo has signed an agreement to sell a significant minority stake in Qlik to a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), with Thoma Bravo remaining the majority shareholder and making a new equity investment. A consortium of other investors is expected to participate alongside ADIA and Thoma Bravo; the deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in Q1 2025.
