Sprout Social Acquires NewsWhip for Up to $65 Million

Sprout Social has acquired NewsWhip for $55 million in cash with up to $10 million in potential earnouts (up to $65 million total) to deepen Sprout’s predictive media intelligence and listening capabilities. The deal closed July 30, 2025, and NewsWhip’s team — led by co-founder and CEO Paul Quigley — will join Sprout, with Quigley named General Manager of Sprout’s Listening business.

The deal strengthens One10’s behavioral science, data science and incentive technology capabilities and will keep Whistle employees in St. Louis under One10’s ownership (One10 is PE-backed by Bow River Capital).

The deal expands Whistle's mobile- and Snapchat-focused content capabilities and brings Vertical Networks' properties and team into Whistle; Vertical Networks' stockholders (including affiliates of Elisabeth Murdoch and Snap) became stockholders of Whistle.
