EXL to Acquire iMerit

EXL (EXLS) announced a definitive agreement to acquire iMerit, an AI model training, evaluation, and reinforcement learning specialist, in a deal valued at up to $310 million. The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. EXL plans to integrate iMerit’s Ango platform and Scholars network into its enterprise AI stack to help clients move from AI experimentation to production with more reliable, domain-specific models.
