Foodtastic, a Canadian restaurant franchisor, announced it has acquired Kinton Ramen, a Canadian-born Japanese ramen brand with locations across Canada and the United States. Foodtastic plans to expand Kinton Ramen in Canada using its operating infrastructure while preserving the menu, loyalty program, brand identity, and franchisee relationships.

Metcash to Acquire Superior Food Group

Australian wholesaler Metcash has agreed to acquire Superior Food Group for up to A$412.3 million as part of three acquisition agreements totalling about A$558.5 million. Superior Food Group is a national foodservice distributor with 23 branches, an 80,000 sqm warehouse footprint and over 20,000 customers across quick-service restaurants, caterers, cafes, restaurants and hotels.

Individual FoodService (IFS), a Bell, California-based distributor of foodservice disposables and janitorial supplies, has acquired Central Sanitary Supply, a Modesto, California-based janitorial and facility supplies distributor. The deal expands IFS’s sales presence and distribution capabilities across California and Nevada and broadens its JanSan product offering to Central’s customers. Terms were not disclosed.
