Swift Delivery Systems Canada Ltd. (Swift) acquired Atripco Delivery Service Ltd. (Atripco), a family-owned courier and freight company specializing in same-day, final-mile, and dedicated fleet services. The transaction closed in February 2025, and financial terms were not disclosed. Swift said the acquisition expands its Greater Toronto Area footprint and strengthens its integrated logistics capabilities.

Gardewine Group Acquires Westman Courier & Freight

Xplornet Acquires Swift High Speed

Xplornet Communications Inc. has acquired Swift High Speed, a facilities-based rural broadband provider headquartered in Steinbach, Manitoba, including its customers, operations, 218 km of fibre and 119 broadcast towers. The deal transfers Swift High Speed's customers and network to Xplornet while the existing ownership is spinning out employees and equipment into a new fibre installation business, Swift Underground, to continue working with Xplornet on regional FTTH buildout.

Fastfrate Group has acquired ASL Distribution Services Limited, a Canadian transportation, warehousing, distribution and final-mile service provider. The purchase adds 13 terminals and final-mile hubs across Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and into New York, and is projected to increase Fastfrate Group revenue by about $120 million in 2021 while immediately providing Fastfrate entry into the e-commerce final-mile market.
