Paylocity, the Schaumburg, Illinois–based provider of cloud HR and payroll software, has acquired VidGrid, a St. Paul–based interactive video platform provider. The acquisition brings VidGrid's video-enabled learning and two-way video communication capabilities into Paylocity's product suite to expand its learning management and employee communication offerings.

Paylocity Acquires Trace (headcount planning startup)

Paylocity has acquired Trace, a San Francisco–based headcount planning startup, and will integrate Trace’s team of seven into its HCM platform. Financial terms were not disclosed; Paylocity said the acquisition extends its product capabilities to include real-time headcount planning and workforce spend management.

Paylocity Acquires Airbase Inc.

Paylocity has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Airbase, a spend management SaaS provider, for approximately $325 million. The acquisition expands Paylocity's suite into the Office of the CFO by integrating Airbase's bill pay, expense management, corporate cards and procurement capabilities with Paylocity's HCM platform.

RealPage Acquires Livble

RealPage has acquired Livble, a provider of flexible rent payment solutions, and will integrate Livble into its LOFT resident experience platform and Buildium property management software. The integration will allow residents to split rent into up to four installments per month while RealPage assumes non-payment risk, improving payment flexibility for renters and guaranteed on-time rent and reporting for property managers.

MPAY Acquires Web Payroll & Tax Solutions

TransPerfect Acquires Paybooks Technologies

TransPerfect has acquired India-based Paybooks Technologies, a cloud-based HR, payroll, and compliance platform, in a deal announced Sept. 30, 2024; financial terms were not disclosed. Paybooks will continue to be led by CEO Samira Rao, COO Gururaja Upendra, and CPO Prakash Kumar (who will join TransPerfect's senior management), and all employees are being retained as the business gains access to TransPerfect’s global footprint and R&D resources.
