Digi International acquired Jolt Software for approximately $145.5 million in cash and will integrate Jolt into its SmartSense business to advance operational intelligence and compliance automation across foodservice, grocery, convenience and healthcare verticals. Jolt generated over $20 million in ARR and the acquisition is expected to accelerate ARR growth, deliver roughly $11 million of annualized adjusted EBITDA synergies by end of 2026, and be immediately accretive to adjusted EPS.

BroadOak Leads Acquisition of Particle Dynamics from Edgewater Capital Partners

Particle Dynamics, a U.S.-based specialist in particle processing and finished-dose manufacturing for pharmaceutical, OTC and nutraceutical customers, was sold by Edgewater Capital Partners to a new investor group led by BroadOak Capital Partners with Research Corporation Technologies and Farragut Capital Partners. The transaction (announced September 29, 2021) creates a new ownership group that aims to accelerate the company’s growth and expand its capabilities at its U.S. GMP, FDA-inspected facilities.

Digi International acquired Dallas-based Haxiot, a provider of LoRaWAN modules, gateways and the X-ON cloud IoT platform, to expand its embedded systems and LoRaWAN capabilities. The acquisition expands Digi’s product portfolio across modules, gateways, network-server and SaaS offerings to serve utilities, oil & gas, industrial and supply-chain customers.

D-Wave Acquires Quantum Circuits Inc. for $550 Million

D-Wave Quantum Inc. has completed its acquisition of Quantum Circuits Inc. in a deal valued at approximately $550 million (about $300M in stock and $250M in cash). The purchase brings Quantum Circuits' error-corrected dual-rail superconducting gate-model qubit technology and team (including co-founder Dr. Rob Schoelkopf) into D-Wave to accelerate a dual-platform roadmap and advance an initial gate-model system targeted for 2026.

Palo Alto Networks Acquires Dig Security

The deal was announced completed on Dec. 5, 2023; media reports put the purchase price at about $400 million.

DigitalOcean Acquires Paperspace
