Vantage Elevator Solutions, headquartered in Bronx, New York, has acquired BSIS, a New York–based installer of passenger and freight door systems, cabs, cab remodeling, platforms and emergency repairs. The acquisition will integrate BSIS' field and technical services into Vantage's portfolio (alongside Freight Tech) to expand capability and deliver more comprehensive field support and manufacturing services to customers.

Cibes Lift Group Acquires Bella Elevator LLC

Cibes Lift Group AB has acquired Bella Elevator LLC, a US-based manufacturer and distributor of home elevators and accessibility lifts. Bella will continue to operate independently and will work with Cibes’ U.S. subsidiaries and distributor network to expand Cibes’ presence nationwide while giving Bella access to Cibes’ product portfolio and commercial resources. CIBC Cleary Gull served as exclusive financial advisor to Bella Elevator in the transaction.

Swedish lift manufacturer Cibes Lift Group has acquired Elevator Service Company, Inc., a Torrington, Connecticut-based provider of home lifts, platform lifts and elevator maintenance and modernization services. The acquisition gives Cibes a stronger U.S. presence and retains Elevator Service Company as a wholly owned subsidiary under new management.

Piab Group (Patricia Industries) Acquires Alum-a-Lift

Piab Group, a portfolio company of Patricia Industries, has acquired US-based Alum-a-Lift, a maker of electronic ergonomic lifting trolleys, for a total consideration of USD 120 million (cash- and debt-free). The acquisition is a strategic add-on to Piab Group that expands its product offering, geographic reach and exposure to end markets such as semiconductors, aerospace and logistics; Alum-a-Lift generated approximately USD 26m in revenue for the 12 months to Dec 2023 and has ~80 employees.

3Phase Elevator and Specialized Elevator Services Holdings have merged to create the largest nationwide independent union elevator services company in the United States. Existing 3Phase investor Berkshire Partners made a strategic growth investment in the combined company — including acquiring CIVC Partners' stake in Specialized — while management from both companies reinvested and will remain in place. The combined business will employ more than 390 International Union of Elevator Constructors members and service over 20,000 elevator and escalator units.
