Spectra Medical Devices Acquires XL Precision Technologies

Spectra Medical Devices, a portfolio company of QHP Capital, has closed its acquisition of XL Precision Technologies Ltd., a Stockton‑on‑Tees based CDMO that manufactures precision micro-components, complex tubular components, and sub‑assemblies for the medical device industry. Rubicon Partners Industries, which acquired XL‑PT in 2008, was the seller; the deal expands Spectra's development and precision‑manufacturing capabilities to better serve medical device OEMs.

TekniPlex Healthcare Acquires Seisa Medical

Haemonetics Acquires Vivasure Medical

Haemonetics Corporation has acquired Galway-based Vivasure Medical in a transaction valued at up to €185 million, consisting of an upfront €100 million payment plus up to €85 million in contingent milestone payments. The acquisition adds Vivasure's PerQseal Elite fully bioabsorbable vascular closure system to Haemonetics' large-bore closure portfolio; Vivasure has CE Mark approvals and has submitted a PMA to the U.S. FDA.

Cirtec Medical Acquires Cardea Catheter Innovations

Cirtec Medical has acquired Cardea Catheter Innovations, a San Jose-based manufacturer of minimally invasive catheter devices and complex delivery systems. Cardea will integrate into Cirtec's NovelCath brand to expand the company's interventional capabilities across structural heart, electrophysiology, and neurovascular markets and will relocate into Cirtec's new San Jose Center of Excellence.
