Bentley Systems Acquires Cesium

Bentley Systems has acquired Cesium, the open platform provider of 3D geospatial tools and the Cesium ion SaaS platform, to integrate Cesium's visualization and 3D Tiles standard with Bentley's iTwin digital twin offerings. Patrick Cozzi, Cesium's CEO, will join Bentley as chief platform officer to lead the combined platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

Bentley Systems Acquires Talon Aerolytics and Pointivo Technology

Bentley Systems acquired Talon Aerolytics and the technology and technical expertise of Pointivo to strengthen its Asset Analytics portfolio. The deals (closed in December) expand Bentley's digital twin and AI capabilities for infrastructure asset inspections, drone data processing, and automated damage detection across telecommunications and electric utilities.

Bentley Systems Acquires SignCAD Systems

Bentley Systems has acquired SignCAD Systems, a Minneapolis-based provider of CAD/CAM software for traffic sign design, manufacturing, and asset management. The deal integrates SignCAD's sign design and asset-management capabilities into Bentley's OpenRoads platform to enhance roadway digital-twin and roadway asset workflows for state DOTs, municipalities, engineering firms, and manufacturers.

Spatial Business Systems Acquires GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc.

Spatial Business Systems, a portfolio company of Peak Rock Capital, has acquired GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. (GSI), a provider of distribution design and vegetation management software for the power and utility industry. The add-on acquisition, which closed January 2, 2026, expands SBS’s intelligent design platform with GSI’s cloud-based Distribution Design Studio (DDS) and mobile Forester field offerings to better serve utilities and infrastructure customers across North America and Europe.

Bentley Systems (iTwin Ventures) Acquires Blyncsy

Bentley Systems' corporate venture arm, iTwin Ventures, has acquired Blyncsy, a Salt Lake City–based provider of AI and computer-vision services for transportation operations and roadway asset analytics. Blyncsy will adopt Bentley's iTwin Platform and its AI roadway analytics will be incorporated into Bentley's mobility and infrastructure digital twin offerings to accelerate asset analytics for departments of transportation and other infrastructure owners.

Bentley Systems Acquires Seequent

Bentley Systems completed the acquisition of Seequent Holdings Limited for approximately $900 million in cash plus 3,141,342 BSY Class B shares, adding Seequent's 3D geological modelling and cloud geodata capabilities to Bentley's infrastructure engineering software portfolio. The deal was a purchase of the majority stake previously held by Accel-KKR and is intended to expand Bentley's subsurface and geoscience capabilities across infrastructure, energy, and natural resources markets.
