H.I.G. Capital Affiliate to Acquire Terra Millennium Corporation

Terra Millennium’s executive team, led by CEO Bryan Young, will continue to lead the company and remain as significant shareholders, and the deal is expected to close in Q2 2022.

H.I.G. Capital, through an affiliate, has completed the acquisition of Time Manufacturing Holdings, LLC from The Sterling Group. Time Manufacturing, a global designer and manufacturer of vehicle-mounted aerial lifts and related specialty equipment headquartered in Waco, Texas, employs more than 2,000 people and will partner with H.I.G. to pursue product development, geographic expansion, and complementary acquisitions to accelerate growth.

(SMCI), a Glendale, California–based IT consulting, talent management and digital solutions firm. The acquisitions combine CXtec’s refurbished networking hardware, data center cabling manufacturing and aftermarket maintenance capabilities with TERACAI’s systems-integration and IT infrastructure services to accelerate product and service expansion and growth.

Standard Microsystems (SMSC) Acquires Gain Technology Corporation

Standard Microsystems Corporation (SMSC) agreed to acquire Gain Technology Corporation in a transaction valued at approximately $34 million, payable in cash and SMSC stock with potential additional contingent payments. The acquisition brings Gain’s analog and mixed-signal IC expertise (including the GT3200 USB 2.0 PHY) and ~35 analog engineers to SMSC to expand its USB 2.0 product offering and accelerate SoC/serial I/O capability; SMSC expected the deal to add roughly $20 million of revenue in fiscal 2004.
