AE Industrial Partners Acquires UAV Factory

AE Industrial Partners (AEI) has acquired UAV Factory, a Riga, Latvia–based designer and manufacturer of small fixed‑wing tactical UAVs and ISR payloads, to form a standalone unmanned technology platform. Terms were not disclosed; UAV Factory — which also has a location in Bend, Oregon — has delivered more than 300 aircraft to customers in 55+ countries and will continue under existing leadership, with co‑founder Konstantin Popiks remaining in a senior role.

AE Industrial Partners (AEI) has acquired PCI, a Columbia, Maryland–based provider of cybersecurity, computer network operations (CNO), cloud engineering, systems engineering, enterprise IT, and data analytics for the U.S. intelligence and defense communities. The deal — terms not disclosed — represents AEI's ninth platform investment in Fund II and is intended to accelerate PCI's growth and reach into defense, intelligence, and national security markets.

AEVEX Aerospace Acquires IKHANA Aircraft Services and Geodetics Incorporated

The transactions add aircraft engineering, modification and maintenance expertise as well as high-precision PNT, LiDAR mapping and sensor-fusion products to AEVEX's portfolio, supporting both civilian and national security customers.

Merlin to Acquire EpiSci

Merlin, a developer of safe autonomous flight technology for fixed-wing aircraft, has agreed to terms to acquire EpiSci, a software AI and autonomy company focused on tactical autonomy and multi-domain deployment. The combined entity is expected to expand Merlin’s supported platform suite to more than 23 platform types and accelerate the delivery of EpiSci’s TacticalAI autonomy software to customers, including U.S. DoD programs.

PAI Partners Acquires Apleona from EQT for ~€1.6bn

PAI Partners has agreed to acquire Apleona Group GmbH from EQT (EQT VII) for approximately EUR 1.6 billion. Apleona, headquartered in Neu-Isenburg, Germany, is a leading European technical and integrated facility management provider with more than 20,000 employees and a strong position in the DACH region; PAI said it will pursue further consolidation and growth both organically and via M&A.
