IonQ Completes Acquisition of Oxford Ionics in $1.075 Billion Deal

IonQ (NYSE: IONQ) completed its acquisition of Oxford Ionics, a UK-based trapped-ion quantum computing company, for a transaction value of about $1.075 billion. The deal is designed to strengthen IonQ’s quantum computing roadmap by integrating Oxford Ionics’ ion-trap-on-a-chip and patented technology stack with IonQ’s existing hardware and software.
