Power Integrations Acquires Assets of Odyssey Semiconductor Technologies

Power Integrations has agreed to acquire the assets of Odyssey Semiconductor Technologies, a developer of vertical gallium-nitride (GaN) transistor technology. The deal, expected to close in July 2024, will bring key Odyssey employees into Power Integrations' technology organization to accelerate the company's PowiGaN roadmap and broaden its high-voltage GaN capabilities.

onsemi Acquires GT Advanced Technologies

onsemi has completed its acquisition of GT Advanced Technologies (GTAT), a U.S.-based producer of silicon carbide (SiC). The acquisition strengthens onsemi's SiC crystal growth and wafer capabilities to secure supply for EV, EV charging and energy infrastructure markets and onsemi plans to invest in GTAT's manufacturing and R&D to scale 150mm and 200mm SiC production.

QIA Takes Minority Stake in Advanced Integration Technology (AIT)

Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) agreed to acquire a minority interest in Advanced Integration Technology (AIT) through a combination of primary capital and partial share purchases from AIT’s founding management and Onex Partners IV. The transaction creates joint minority ownership between QIA, AIT’s management and Onex and is intended to support AIT’s post-pandemic growth and innovation in aerospace, defense and space launch automation, including urban air mobility.

Fidelity Building Services Acquires AIR Technologies

Fidelity Building Services (Fidelity BSG), a portfolio company of Oaktree Capital Management, has acquired AIR Technologies, an Oklahoma City–based mechanical/HVAC service provider. The add-on deal (effective October 8, 2021) expands Fidelity BSG's geographic footprint into Oklahoma and enhances its HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, and building-automation capabilities.

GTY Technology Acquires Ion Wave Technologies

GTY Technology Holdings Inc. has acquired Ion Wave Technologies to complement GTY's existing eProcurement offerings (Bonfire and DemandStar) and expand into K-12 special education with Ion Wave's SpedTrack product. The deal will combine Ion Wave with GTY's Bonfire business to broaden GTY's public sector SaaS footprint and supplier-buyer network across North America.
