L Squared Capital Partners has acquired Globe Scientific and folded it into its GSI Group Holdings platform as the platform’s third add-on. Globe Scientific, a US-based maker and distributor of laboratory plasticware, glassware and benchtop equipment, will be integrated to expand GSI Group’s product portfolio, distribution footprint and reach into biopharma, diagnostics and academic research markets.

GSG GENII Software Group (GENII), a Munich-based industry software group backed by funds advised by BU Bregal Unternehmerkapital and Elvaston, has acquired Lyon-based Inlog SAS, a leading provider of laboratory software for blood transfusion, laboratory information systems (LIS) and quality management systems (QMS). The seller was investment fund Abenex; the acquisition is an add‑on to GENII’s laboratory division intended to strengthen capabilities and accelerate GENII’s European expansion.

Spatial Business Systems, a portfolio company of Peak Rock Capital, has acquired GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. (GSI), a provider of distribution design and vegetation management software for the power and utility industry. The add-on acquisition, which closed January 2, 2026, expands SBS’s intelligent design platform with GSI’s cloud-based Distribution Design Studio (DDS) and mobile Forester field offerings to better serve utilities and infrastructure customers across North America and Europe.

L Squared Forms BTX Precision with Acquisitions of ERA Industries, Gen-El-Mec and i3DMFG

L Squared Capital Partners has formed BTX Precision by combining three precision components manufacturers—ERA Industries, Gen-El-Mec, and i3DMFG—as part of an accelerated consolidation strategy in the fragmented North American precision components market. The acquired businesses will operate under the BTX platform with existing leadership retained as ongoing owners, and L Squared intends to pursue additional add-on acquisitions to build scale and complementary capabilities.

LBMX Inc., a London, Ontario–based business marketplace platform provider, acquired Buying Group Services (BGS) in an all‑shares transaction effective January 1, 2022. The acquisition adds managed services capabilities to LBMX's existing EDI, PIM and eCommerce offerings, enabling expanded services (including central payments and PIM enrichment) for independent distributors, buying groups and suppliers across end markets such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building materials and food service equipment.

Piper Sandler Acquires G Squared Capital Partners
