Symphony Technology Group Acquires SAI360 from BPEA EQT

Symphony Technology Group (STG) has entered into and completed a definitive agreement to acquire SAI360, a Chicago‑headquartered cloud risk management and compliance SaaS provider, from BPEA EQT (BPEA Fund VI). The acquisition (terms not disclosed) is intended to accelerate SAI360's product innovation and growth while expanding STG's portfolio in software, data and analytics. The transaction was subject to customary regulatory approvals and closed in 2023 (expected/announced Q2 2023 in press releases).

Zscaler Acquires SPLX to Expand AI Security Capabilities

Zscaler, Inc. has acquired AI security pioneer SPLX to extend the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange with AI asset discovery, automated red teaming, runtime guardrails, and governance across the AI lifecycle. The deal integrates SPLX's technology for discovery, risk assessment and remediation into Zscaler's cloud security platform to help enterprises secure models, agent workflows, and RAG pipelines from development through deployment.

Plural Acquires FINRA Member Northstar Financial Services LP (now Plural Brokerage LLC)

Plural, the San Francisco-based on-chain investing platform for clean energy, acquired FINRA member Northstar Financial Services LP and has renamed it Plural Brokerage LLC. The broker-dealer acquisition (with existing Northstar staff retained and Eli Wishnivetski remaining as Chief Compliance Officer) gives Plural an in-house regulatory stack—broker-dealer and transfer agent capabilities—to accelerate compliant tokenization of renewable energy assets.
