Bostik (Arkema) Acquires Edge Adhesives Texas

Bostik, the adhesives arm of Arkema, will acquire Edge Adhesives Texas, a Fort Worth-based developer and manufacturer of hot-melt adhesives and pressure-sensitive tapes, in a bolt-on transaction to expand Bostik’s US residential construction offering. Edge Adhesives Texas generates ~US$12 million in annual sales and has approximately 50 employees; the deal was announced in May 2021 and was expected to close in Q2 2021.

Arkema Acquires Permoseal to Strengthen Adhesives Position in South Africa

Arkema completed the acquisition of Permoseal (owner of the Alcolin brand) on July 1, 2022, bringing a South African adhesives leader into its Bostik adhesive solutions offering. Permoseal generated €43 million in sales in 2021, operates two production plants in South Africa and will help Arkema/Bostik expand in South Africa and Sub‑Saharan Africa across construction, DIY and packaging markets.

APPLIED Adhesives Acquires L & D Adhesives

APPLIED Adhesives, a Minnetonka, Minnesota-based custom adhesive solutions provider, has completed its acquisition of L & D Adhesives, a regional adhesive and sealant supplier headquartered in Comstock Park, Michigan. The deal expands APPLIED's regional footprint and strengthens its product, technical expertise and service capabilities for manufacturing customers. L & D will integrate into APPLIED's distribution and technical service network to offer an expanded set of adhesive solutions to existing and new customers.

EUKALIN Corporation Acquires Adhesives Specialists, Inc.

EUKALIN Corporation, part of the family‑owned EUKALIN Group, acquired all assets of Adhesives Specialists, Inc., including the Allentown, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility and real estate. The acquisition expands EUKALIN’s North American manufacturing footprint and adds water‑based and hotmelt adhesive capabilities to better serve packaging and labeling customers across the United States.

DalFort Portfolio Companies Key Polymer and Polymer Adhesives Complete Two Add-on Acquisitions

Westlake Chemical Acquires Hexion's Epoxy Business

Westlake Chemical Corporation completed the acquisition of Hexion's epoxy-based Coatings and Composite businesses (the "Epoxy Business") for approximately $1.2 billion. The transaction transfers Hexion's epoxy specialty resins, base epoxy resins and intermediates product lines to Westlake; Hexion will continue to operate its Adhesives and Versatic Acids and Derivatives product lines following the divestiture.
