Affiliates of Z Capital Partners (ZCG) have acquired Universal Marine Medical Supply International (Unimed), the leading global provider of pharmaceutical and medical solutions to the maritime industry; financial terms were not disclosed. Unimed serves ~10,000 ships per year from 10 worldwide offices and ZCG plans to expand Unimed's addressable market into super yachts, yacht management companies and manufacturers while enhancing its medical supplies and services for cruise and commercial vessels.

ZCG-backed Universal Maritime Solutions (Unimed) has acquired Elssi Maritime Services, a Greece-based provider of drug and alcohol testing and related laboratory services for the maritime industry. The add-on expands Unimed's global maritime health and compliance platform by integrating Elssi's testing capabilities and team (including Panagiotis Stamatopoulos, who joins Unimed as a Managing Director), furthering the company's ability to serve vessel operators across its ~18,000-vessel client base.

Unilabs Acquires RIMED to Build Nationwide Diagnostic Network in Switzerland

Direct Healthcare Group Acquires United Care BV

UK-based Direct Healthcare Group (DHG), backed and financed by healthcare private equity firm ARCHIMED (MED Platform I), has acquired Netherlands-headquartered United Care BV. The deal is DHG's sixth add-on in 12 months and, together with a recent Talley Group purchase, will boost DHG's revenues by more than €30 million to over €100 million; the acquisition was financed with a mix of debt and equity.

ARCHIMED Acquires Stragen Pharma

KKR and Impilo Acquire Immedica Pharma

KKR and Nordic healthcare investor Impilo have completed a joint acquisition of Stockholm-based Immedica Pharma, with Immedica management reinvesting alongside the new owners. Immedica is a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company focused on rare and specialty diseases (notably hematology, oncology and genetic/metabolic disorders) with ~€100m revenue and more than 120 employees; CVC Credit provided debt financing and Impilo used a single-asset continuation fund supported by secondary investors.
