The investment will support Clearwater’s expansion of managed security, consulting, and software capabilities across the healthcare ecosystem and the defense industrial base (via its Redspin division).

Precision Aerospace Holdings Acquires Clearwater Engineering

Dallas-based Precision Aerospace Holdings, a portfolio company of Juniper Capital Management and CIC Partners, has acquired Clearwater Engineering, a Derby, Kansas precision machining and CNC milling company serving commercial and government aerospace customers. The add-on deal (closed March 7, 2025) expands Precision's Midwest footprint, adds machining capacity and capabilities, and brings approximately 40 Clearwater employees into the Precision platform.

Sofidel Acquires Clearwater Paper's Tissue Business

Sofidel Group (through Sofidel America Corp.) completed the $1.06 billion cash acquisition of Clearwater Paper Corporation's tissue business (CLW Tissue). The deal transfers four U.S. production plants (Shelby, NC; Lewiston, ID; Las Vegas, NV; Elwood, IL) and ~1,700 employees to Sofidel, increasing Sofidel's North American capacity by about 25% and making it the fourth-largest tissue producer in North America; Clearwater Paper will use proceeds to reduce debt and focus on paperboard packaging.

Industrial Flow Solutions to Acquire Clearwater Controls Ltd to Expand IoT Wastewater Network Management

Industrial Flow Solutions, headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut, announced it has agreed to acquire Clearwater Controls Ltd., based in Glasgow, Scotland. Clearwater Controls provides intelligent deragging control systems and cloud-based data analytics for wastewater network monitoring and predictive maintenance; terms were not disclosed and Clearwater Controls will retain its name and brand.

Simpson Performance Products Acquires Clearwater Lights

Clearwater, a Rancho Cordova, California-based designer and assembler of auxiliary LED lights for motorsport applications, will continue to be led by Mr. Stasky, and the acquisition expands Simpson's motorsport safety and lighting product offering as an add-on to its portfolio.
