IBM Acquires HashiCorp for $6.4 Billion

IBM agreed to acquire HashiCorp for $35 per share in cash, representing an enterprise value of $6.4 billion. The acquisition brings HashiCorp's multi-cloud infrastructure automation and security products (including Terraform and Vault) into IBM's hybrid cloud and AI portfolio to expand IBM's capabilities, drive go-to-market synergies with Red Hat and watsonx, and accelerate growth in hybrid/multi-cloud and AI-driven infrastructure management.
