DSP Group Acquires SoundChip SA

DSP Group acquired privately owned SoundChip SA to add active noise cancellation (ANC) technology, engineering services, and production test systems to its SmartVoice platform. The deal (approximately $14.5M upfront plus up to $6.0M in earnouts) aims to accelerate DSP Group's position in the fast-growing TWS/headset market by combining SoundChip's ANC expertise with DSP Group's low-power voice and mixed-signal solutions.

Synaptics Acquires DisplayLink from Cipio Partners

Synaptics Incorporated agreed to acquire DisplayLink Corp. from Cipio Partners for $305 million in an all-cash transaction. The acquisition adds DisplayLink's high-performance video compression and universal docking technology to Synaptics' portfolio, expanding its display and docking capabilities to address growing demand from enterprise WFH and BYOD trends.

DSP (LDC-backed) Acquires Canada-based Eclipsys Solutions

LDC-backed DSP, a UK-based database, cloud and applications managed service provider, has acquired Ottawa-headquartered Eclipsys Solutions to strengthen its Oracle Cloud services and accelerate expansion into North America. The deal is DSP's first since investment from LDC and increases the combined group's Oracle capability and geographic footprint, bringing combined revenues above £75m and a headcount of roughly 250 across the UK, Ireland and North America.

Sinch AB Acquires Inteliquent for U.S. Voice Leadership

Sinch AB agreed to acquire Inteliquent, the largest independent U.S. voice communications provider, for $1.14 billion in cash to broaden its CPaaS offering and establish leadership in U.S. voice. The acquisition gives Sinch Inteliquent's carrier-grade network, extensive phone-number inventory and voice APIs; closing is subject to customary regulatory approvals including CFIUS and FCC and was expected in H2 2021.

Synopsys Acquires Ansys

Synopsys has acquired Ansys in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at about $35 billion, combining Synopsys' electronic design automation (EDA) and IP capabilities with Ansys' simulation and analysis portfolio to create an integrated "silicon-to-systems" engineering leader. The deal, announced January 16, 2024 and completed July 17, 2025, positions the combined company to deliver integrated multiphysics and EDA solutions across semiconductors, automotive, aerospace and other industries.
