Epic Games has acquired Cubic Motion, a Manchester-based developer of real-time facial animation and computer vision technology, from NorthEdge Capital. The acquisition brings Cubic Motion’s IP and team into Epic’s Unreal Engine group to accelerate development of photorealistic digital humans and related real-time animation capabilities.

LDC-backed DSP, a UK-based database, cloud and applications managed service provider, has acquired Ottawa-headquartered Eclipsys Solutions to strengthen its Oracle Cloud services and accelerate expansion into North America. The deal is DSP's first since investment from LDC and increases the combined group's Oracle capability and geographic footprint, bringing combined revenues above £75m and a headcount of roughly 250 across the UK, Ireland and North America.

The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive, adding an estimated $10+ million in revenue and $1+ million in Adjusted EBITDA in the remainder of 2023, while expanding DecisionPoint's services mix, digital signage/video capabilities, and Southeastern U.S. footprint.
