Best Trash, a Richmond, Texas-based municipal solid waste platform, has acquired Pelican Waste & Debris, a Southern Louisiana and Mississippi residential and commercial hauling provider. The deal expands Best Trash's footprint beyond Texas into Louisiana and Mississippi and adds roll-off and construction debris services; Pelican founders Roddie Matherne and Corey Callais will retain an ownership stake in the combined company.

H.I.G. Infrastructure Acquires Controlling Interest in Northern Biogas

H.I.G. Capital’s infrastructure arm, H.I.G. Infrastructure, has acquired a controlling interest in Northern Biogas, a Morgantown, West Virginia–based waste-to-renewable natural gas company that develops, builds, owns and operates anaerobic digester and RNG facilities. The investment will support Northern Biogas’ development pipeline of dairy, landfill and food-waste RNG projects across the U.S. as the company scales its construction, operations and service capabilities.

Infrastructure) has acquired a controlling interest in Greenflash Infrastructure, LP, a Houston-based developer and operator of grid-scale energy storage and power generation projects. The investment will provide capital and operational support to accelerate Greenflash's pipeline of brownfield and greenfield energy storage and controllable load projects serving utilities and municipal cooperatives.

NMS Capital Recapitalizes Texas Pride and Combines with Texas Dumpsters to Form Regional Solid Waste Hauling Platform

NMS Capital partnered with Texas Pride Disposal Solutions and management to recapitalize Texas Pride and combine it with the Texas Dumpsters family of businesses (including West Texas Dumpsters, South Texas Dumpsters and Arizona Portables) to create a regional solid waste hauling platform operating under the Texas Pride name. The investment will support growth through investments in personnel, equipment, technology and additional strategic acquisitions; terms were not disclosed.

First Reserve sold its interest in the company; USA DeBusk's management, led by CEO Andrew DeBusk, will remain significant shareholders as H.I.G. partners with the team to expand capabilities, geographic footprint and pursue add-on acquisitions.
