Scanco Software, a Firmament-backed provider of warehouse and manufacturing automation software, has acquired Appolis, LLC (d.b.a. WithoutWire Inventory Sciences), a specialist in complex inventory and warehouse management systems. The acquisition expands Scanco's product suite to serve Microsoft Dynamics and NetSuite customers and strengthens its end-to-end offerings for SMB distribution and manufacturing customers.

Firmament Makes Majority Investment in Navitrans

Firmament Acquires Controltec and COPA to Create National Childcare Software Leader

Firmament has acquired Controltec, a provider of childcare subsidy management software, and COPA, a provider of data management solutions for early childhood education, and combined them under the Controltec name to form a national leader serving publicly funded childcare programs. The combined business will be led by CEO Lara Oerter and aims to expand capabilities and reach across state agencies, Head Start programs and childcare providers in the United States.

SCALIAN Acquires MANNARINO Systems & Software

SCALIAN has acquired Canadian avionics and safety-critical systems specialist MANNARINO Systems & Software Inc., strengthening SCALIAN's avionics, embedded software and certification capabilities in North America. The deal expands SCALIAN's system & software engineering footprint—particularly in Advanced Air Mobility, eVTOL and drone markets—and brings MANNARINO's Transport Canada DAO and near-complete ARINC 653 RTOS certification into the group.

The Firmament Group Invests in Profit Tools and Launches Envase Technologies

The Firmament Group completed an investment in Profit Tools, LLC and concurrently launched Envase Technologies, a cloud-based intermodal TMS platform led by Larry Cuddy. Compcare Services, an existing Firmament portfolio company, participated alongside Firmament; financial terms were not disclosed. The move consolidates transportation-focused software capabilities to accelerate technology adoption across the intermodal drayage market.
