Boxlight Corporation Acquires Sahara Presentation Systems PLC

Boxlight Corporation (Nasdaq: BOXL) has acquired Sahara Presentation Systems PLC for GBP 74 million (approximately USD 94.9 million), consisting of cash and preferred stock. The acquisition adds the Clevertouch and Sedao brands, expands Boxlight's geographic reach (particularly in EMEA), and brings immediate revenue growth and consolidated profitability to the combined education-technology business.

F&P Equity Partners, a Milan-based private equity firm, has acquired Luxxbox USA, Inc., a Petaluma-based designer and manufacturer of acoustic lighting and workspace solutions, and will add the business to its portfolio company Panzeri Carlo S.r.l. The add-on acquisition aims to combine Luxxbox’s acoustic lighting products and design capabilities with Panzeri’s Italian lighting platform to accelerate product innovation and expand global reach.

Thoma Bravo has agreed to acquire Calypso Technology from private equity owners Bridgepoint and Summit Partners; the transaction is expected to close in Q2 2021 subject to regulatory approvals and financial terms were not disclosed. Calypso, a San Francisco–based provider of cloud-enabled, front-to-back capital markets software and managed services, will partner with Thoma Bravo to accelerate product innovation, cloud adoption and growth through organic investment and M&A.
