Busy Bees North America (BBNA) acquired thirteen early learning centers in the greater Seattle area — seven Kids N Us locations and six Birch Tree Academy locations — expanding BBNA’s U.S. footprint into Washington State. The deal adds roughly 380 educators and staff and more than 1,575 children and families to Busy Bees’ network, growing BBNA to about 270 centers across the United States and Canada.

Endeavor Schools Acquires The Baltimore Montessori

Endeavor Schools, a Miami-based education management company, has acquired Heritage Montessori, a trio of traditional Montessori campuses in Southern California (Huntington Beach, Lake Forest and Newport-Mesa). Avathon Capital Acquires Magical Beginnings Learning Centers

Avathon Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on education and workforce investments, has acquired Magical Beginnings Learning Centers, a Massachusetts-based network of seven early childhood education centers operating in the Greater Boston area. Avathon named Mark Donovan as CEO, formed a new board chaired by Sarah Clabby, and the founder Linda Hassapis Bonfanti will move to a board director role as part of the transaction.
