Clarivate Acquires ProQuest

Clarivate plc announced a definitive agreement on May 17, 2021 and completed the acquisition of ProQuest on Dec. 1, 2021. Clarivate paid $5.3 billion including refinancing of ProQuest debt (approximately $4.0 billion cash and $1.3 billion equity) to acquire the global software, content, data and analytics provider from Cambridge Information Group and other investors including Atairos to expand its research intelligence capabilities.

Thomson Reuters Acquires HighQ Solutions Limited

Thomson Reuters has acquired HighQ Solutions Limited, a London-based collaboration SaaS provider for the legal and regulated industries, from investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital (other investors in HighQ included One Peak Partners and Goldman Sachs). The acquisition brings HighQ’s secure cloud collaboration, workflow automation and client engagement software — used by 400+ customers including more than half of the top 100 global law firms — into Thomson Reuters’ legal technology portfolio to expand its product capabilities for legal and regulated markets.

Athagoras Acquires Quantify Research

The acquisition expands Athagoras' RWE and market access capabilities and strengthens its presence in the Nordic region and Asia-Pacific to better serve global pharmaceutical clients.
